The Phoenix Approach
Our approach to flexible contract staffing extends beyond the traditional method of simply placing a person in a position. Each assignment is handled on an individual basis with a consultative and process orientation. We recognize that each organization has unique needs, which can only be satisfied by focusing on the goals, objectives and strategic human resource plan. Each Phoenix representative is a consultant with a primary goal of assisting you in addressing business issues with pro-active staffing solutions.
The Phoenix Process
The Phoenix Process involves four distinct steps, which result in placing the best contract staff member with the minimal amount of effort or expense on the part of the organization.
Step 1: Needs Assessment and Consulting
The process begins with a Phoenix consultant meeting with representatives of your organization to assess your staffing needs, both short and long term. Working in close collaboration with our clients, we identify not only the technical and functional skill required for the position but also those behavioral traits needed for the optimum fit. We assist in examining your strategic human resource plan to identify possible opportunities and set strategies for converting to a flexible work-force. We then design a Strategic Staffing Plan, which addresses current needs, anticipate future requirements and satisfies the unique conditions of each organization we serve.
Step 2: Employee Sourcing
When the requirements have been identified, we begin the search process for the employee who best fits the functional and non-functional requirements of the position. We aggressively research the market using an array of search methodologies to identify suitable candidates. Unlike many temporary agencies, our search involves finding the person who fits the demands of the position and not just someone with the functional skills needed to simply "do the job."
Step 3: Employee Screening
Each candidate is thoroughly screened using the latest competency based models and criterion developed during the assessment phase of the process. We evaluate not only the technical/functional competencies but also those behavioral traits needed for an ideal "cultural" fit. Phoenix can develop or administer existing pre-employment screening instruments ranging from standard drug testing through psychometric exercises, competency testing and background checks to help insure the best possible fit.
Step 4: Employee Selection
Depending on the requirements established during the consulting and assessment phase of the process, our clients might elect to participate in the selection phase of the process. The level of participation can vary from full participation in the interview process to a simple review of our consultant's observations and results of the assessment instruments of the selected candidate. In any event, the conditions of screening and selection are thoroughly reviewed and agreed upon during the assessment and consulting phase of the process. Once the successful candidate has been selected, he or she becomes an employee of Phoenix permanently assigned to the client company at the agreed upon rate for the duration of the contract period. Phoenix continually monitors the progress of our employees to be certain they continue to meet the needs and expectations of our clients.
